Medical safety
What Doctine is, and what it isn't.
Doctine helps you keep and understand your health information. It supports your medical care; it doesn't replace it.
In an emergency, don't use Doctine.
Call 112 for police, fire or ambulance anywhere in India. For mental-health support, call Tele-MANAS on 14416, free and available 24 hours a day. Doctine isn't monitored by medical staff and can't send help.

What Doctine does and doesn't do
- It stores and organises the health information you add: your profile, reports, prescriptions and medicines.
- It doesn't diagnose, treat, prescribe or recommend changes to your medicines.
- It doesn't interpret trends in your results or predict conditions.
- Always follow your doctor's advice, and check anything important against your original documents.
The assistant
Not yet available
The AI assistant is switched off while its answers are evaluated. When it's available:
- it gives general health information in plain language, which can be wrong or incomplete;
- it uses your saved reports only in a chat where you tick the box to share them;
- if a message describes a possible emergency, Doctine shows fixed guidance to call 112, whether or not the AI is available. This already works today.
Information from your documents
- Text-based PDF lab reports: Doctine finds the values in your browser and shows them to you. Nothing is saved until you've checked them, corrected anything wrong and confirmed.
- Photos and scans: for now, they're saved as photos and you add details by hand. When automatic reading is switched on, anything Doctine isn't sure about will be labelled, lines it can't read will be listed, and an uncertain medicine can't be saved until you confirm you've checked it against the original. The original photo is always kept.
Medicines and reminders
- Medicines are stored exactly as you type them. Doctine doesn't calculate, change or suggest doses.
- A reminder is a schedule you set, not medical advice and not proof that a dose was taken.
- Reminders appear only while Doctine is open in your browser. Don't rely on them alone for time-critical medicines.
Review and validation
Doctine hasn't been clinically validated. Before the assistant is switched on, it must pass our evaluation set of 75 test cases, including emergencies, medicines, pregnancy, children, mental-health situations and questions in Hinglish, and its answers must be reviewed and signed off by a qualified doctor.
We don't claim endorsements, partnerships or clinical results that we don't have. When a review is complete, we'll say what was reviewed and when.
Regulatory status
We're reviewing, with qualified advisers, how India's medical-device and digital-health rules apply to Doctine's current and planned features. Until that review is complete, we make no claim about how Doctine is classified.
Report a safety concern
If something in Doctine looks wrong, unsafe or misleading, email [email protected] with what you saw. Please don't include more health information than you need to.
